MyClassroom Coach

An AI coach in every classroom.

The problem

Teachers wanted to revive deeply personalized instruction — more formative assessment, more small-group work, more responsiveness — but workload kept getting in the way. And differentiated PD is now essential for veteran and new teachers alike.

The goal

Give teachers an on-demand coach that helps them teach more equitably and efficiently — without adding stress.

Approach

How they piloted it.

  1. 01

    Increase frequent formative assessment

  2. 02

    Strengthen differentiation strategies

  3. 03

Test the tool across different content teachers' classrooms to make sure it was a strong coach for everyone

  4. 04

Provide quick feedback and real-time progress monitoring

Human-centered

AI that sustains, not supplants.

What this pilot is — and isn't

AI coaching will never replace the work of our people. It cannot read the relationship between a teacher and their students, the trust built over a semester, or the moment a kid finally raises their hand. MyClassroom Coach is a thinking partner for the teacher — surfacing patterns and suggesting moves — but every decision in the room still belongs to the human standing in it.

The team

Educators on the ground.

I'm especially interested in understanding both the possibilities and limitations of AI so I can approach it critically and responsibly. Being part of this team gives me the opportunity to learn, collaborate, and continually check my own biases around emerging technology.

I decided to join the innovation team after moving from teaching 11th grade to 12th grade and struggling a little with the transition. I was looking for more support and a way to use AI to make me a better teacher without losing the humanity and heart that make me who I am in the classroom. Joining the team felt like a chance to grow while still staying true to the kind of teacher I want to be.
