We're thoughtful about AI, too. This year, Ednovate teachers and leaders ran small, careful pilots — not to replace the craft of teaching, but to see whether a few specific tools could give it back the time, focus, and feedback loops it deserves. People stay at the center. This is what we learned.

"Our goal isn't to recreate the system — but to rebuild and reimagine it."

Can't make it in person? No problem! The event will be livestreamed.
The Innovation Team Showcase brings every cohort together to share what worked, what didn't, and what we're still unsure about. An honest look at where AI was useful — and where it wasn't — when the people closest to students stay in charge.

What we believe
We share the instinct that technology can flatten what makes school human. So we moved slowly, asked hard questions, and only kept the tools that actually helped the people in the room.
What AI can't do
Read a classroom.
AI can't see the trust between a teacher and a student, the kid who finally raised their hand, or the conversation a family had at the dinner table. The relationship is the work — and that stays human.
What we're not doing
Rolling out AI to everyone.
No tool is going network-wide because it's trendy. Every pilot is small, opt-in, and led by educators in real classrooms. If it doesn't help kids and teachers, it doesn't move forward.
What we are doing
Trying modest, useful things.
A planning assistant for math. A coach that helps a teacher reflect. A report card that sees the whole student. A voice tool for reflection. Sensible tools, carefully tested, with people in charge at every step.
01 / Why we exist
After remote learning, planning got heavier. Materials got inconsistent. And the high-impact practices that made Ednovate Ednovate got harder to hold onto.
Teachers told us the truth: the workload was crushing the craft. Math teachers were rebuilding curriculum from scratch. Advisors were trying to tell whole-student stories with grade-only report cards. New and veteran teachers alike needed differentiated coaching that didn't exist at the scale they needed.
So we did what we always do. We didn't roll out a network-wide mandate. We built an Innovation Team — educators on the ground, piloting tools in real classrooms, bringing learnings back, and refining together. No tool gets adopted at Ednovate without a pilot and the people closest to students saying it's ready.
Phase
Respond
We met the moment of the pandemic.
Phase
Recover
We listened — to teachers, students, families.
Phase
Reimagine
We're rebuilding what learning can be.
02 / The cohorts
Click any cohort to meet the educators, see the tool they piloted, and learn the problem they were trying to solve.
Math, aligned. Planning, lightened.
An aligned curriculum stack that hands teachers back their planning hours.

An AI coach in every classroom.
A teacher-facing AI coach that supports formative assessment, differentiation, and student discourse.

More than a grade. A whole student.
A holistic report card surfacing academic, social-emotional, and college-readiness growth.

Reflection at the speed of voice.
A voice-first reflection tool exploring whether AI can encourage deep thinking about future and career readiness.

Innovation with guardrails.
Led by Lanira Murphy and Kevin Nham — piloting educational sessions and trainings that may be rolled out network-wide.

Team leads
Strand leads coordinate pilots, surface learnings, and bring decisions back to the network so we adopt only what survives a real classroom.

03 / How we work
This is the Ednovate way. Educators test the idea in their classrooms. They tell us what's real and what's not. The network only adopts what survives a classroom.
5-week sprints
Three pilot sprints across the year. Try, learn, refine.
Monthly convenings
Tuesdays. Three hours. In person whenever possible.
Bring it back
Every learning surfaces to the group — and shapes what we adopt next.
